First in a market intelligent TOF sensor: ParkSol developers introduced fist in a market TOF sensor at Intertraffic 2016 exhibition Amsterdam. Sensor was met with a huge interest and success. The sensor is designed for detecting vehicles in front of each parking space. It can detect and indicate parking space occupancy simultaneously in front of ONE or TWO opposite parking spaces. It is recommended for covered parking lots. The Sensor detection technology is not ultrasound or camera based. It uses new detection technology based on Time Of Flight (TOF). Indication is RGB Color Changing LED Lights and shows parking place availability information. TOF sensor are installed in front of every space or in the middle of two opposite parking spaces. Sensor significantly saves cost and installation time. Is need to use less hardware, no need to close parking garage during installation etc. Additionally, it can provide special switch signal for sensor state indication. This function allows using it in various applications where vehicle detection is needed. First in a market intelligent TOF sensor – more over is possible to detect motorbikes or bicycles.
WHAT IT IS
The sensor easily and immediately detects and tracks not 1 but 2 opposite car parking or car-wash places, resulting in about 50% less installation cost compared to sensors that can track just a singular place.
It’s easily adjustable to any parking or car-wash layout or height. The sensor can be used as a car detector from above and as a barrier trigger or car counter that effectively detects nearby objects.
IP66 protection class is also a part of its completeness, which makes it resistant to extreme temperatures (heat or cold), along with many other amazing benefits we will discuss below.
HOW IT WORKS
Because such technology can track two vehicles on the opposite sides at once, it makes that much superior.
TOF sensors use a small laser to produce infrared light, where the light eventually bounces back from any object or surface and returns to the sensor. Based on the time spent on the laser light going back and forth, the sensor is able to measure the distance between the object and the sensor.
